Where does time go?
As I sat down to catch up on my (neglected) email, writing, blog, etc, I realized the date – and it had impact. But not the kind you’re thinking.
OK, I admit, I’m one of those Americans for whom the passions of 9/11 have faded. Tragic? No. Just human.
For nine years, we’ve been a nation essentially at war. Nine years. That’s enough to numb just about anyone. The regular onslaught of bad news from the Middle East is enough to tarnish the victories.
It’s enough to make even the most patriotic, freedom-loving among us wonder, why are we doing this?
And then I realized another significance of 9/11 – something more personal to me…
It’s been one month since I blogged.
