Coming soon to a toy store near you!
Just kidding, but my recent change of status has brought me into the realm of “working from home.” And as exciting as that may seem (ooh – work in your jammies) it brings with it a whole new realm of fun.
Like, the small desk that was attractive, almost decorative even, but sufficient for housing my faithful Mac and handling all the little things in life (I don’t want to go into the office to jot a quick note to Aunt Tully or Uncle NicNack) is rapidly showing the strain of heavier use. That jumble of wires behind the laptop? That’s my iPod earphones and cell phone headset that got tossed into the cup that usually holds keys and maybe a business card or two. And when did that printer decide to take up residence, huh?
Observant souls might also notice the hair clippy dumped over to the left… And the fact that Mr. Mac is missing his cute little CD drive faceplate. Why? Because that’s where the little wireless antenna goes and Yours Truly had some issues getting it back on after dealing with some wireless issues. My right hand is doing better, but it ain’t 100% yet.
Those who know me are wondering why I’m using the little desk instead of the big office set up. Good question. Simple answer: I’m revamping the whole thing because I discovered that while I don’t mind that set up for some projects, I hate being tucked into what amounts to a hole all day long – it’s depressing. This space is lighter, brighter and cheerier.
Now pardon me while I put my feet up and enjoy a cuppa.
