…my new washer and dryer.
Later this month, a pair of bright red things will be delivered and installed.
Why? Because the existing washer and dryer in this unit are awful and my choices were deal with the damn things, or get our own.
Why? Because the “laundry room” is also the space where the hot water heater, and HVAC unit live and it’s flippen crowded in there.
Why? Because after much research, and measuring, and more research, the front loading units from LG were the best options.
OK… but RED?
I was shopping around, finally decided on the models I wanted, and then, just before I hit the purchase button, I saw that they were also available in red…
And why the hell not?!?
Another manufacturer has a similar set, a little cheaper, not quite as many good reviews… then I looked at them… they’re burgundy.
These? They’re bright, screaming, unapologetically red.
I don’t think I’ve ever been excited about a freaking appliance before.
Unfortunately, the red units are not in stock and are shipped from LG. Which means a wait. Pout.
Now I have to resist the urge to paint the laundry room floor something like matte black.
And I have to restrain myself from walking around quoting “Red. Red Charlie boy… Red is the color of sex and fear and danger and signs that say Do. Not. Enter.”
Which may explain my reaction to the burgundy models…
